Printing from Cappuccino app
Hello all,

I am currently in the planning stages of developing a program to print signage for a store. The program would hold pre-determined sign sizes/layouts with editable areas, and would receive data from a mysql database.

I am intrigued by Cappuccino, and am strongly considering using the framework to develop a web app to create this layout program, but so far I am at a loss for a printing solution from a web app.

Does anyone know if there is built-in functionality to print from Cappuccino, or any web-app for that matter? If any of you have a better suggestion for the method I should use to create this layout app, any input would be appreciated. I am not opposed to any approach; Flash, AIR, Jquery, etc.

Thank you all in advance,

RE: Printing from Cappuccino app
Web apps are limited by what browsers are capable of doing for them. Cappucino has a way of spawning a new browser window, via CPPlatformWindow. The best way to enable printing is to spawn a new window with the desired layout, then call window.print().
