I bought a NAS case the other day (Lan 100M). It contains a FTP server and also Samba. I have my Mac and PCs connected to it very nicely. Now, I'm wondering if I can connect to it outside the home -- on the go. As it has FTP, that is one way. But I'm thinking about Samba. Is it possible to simply have this drive's icon on the desktop (both Mac and PC) remotely so that it can be accessed (without using FTP)? Maybe this is too simple of a question... :???:
