iDevGames has used its own CMS, open source CMSs, and now Expression Engine (EE). This PHP-based (MySQL) software is created by developers who use Macs (i.e., they understand the importance of user-interfaces.)

Although it isn't the "end-all" CMS/Blogging software, EE is pretty slick. Two new developments should make you visit EE's site at www.pmachine.com...

1) Release of a "free" base version
https://secure.pmachine.com/download.php

2) Reduction in price of EE

You may think, "But with so many open source CMSs, why bother to pay?" I've asked the same thing on many occasions. I recommend you try a demo and perhaps you'll learn why. ;)

If anyone has questions on CMS, what is recommended, how to set them up, etc., feel free to ask in this thread.

Wordpress (wordpress.org) is pretty awesome too, and really easy to use.

I just recently switched from coding it all myself (PHP and mySQL is pretty fun and not hard to learn, just takes forever to code it all) to using Mambo (http://www.mamboserver.com). I believe iDG used to use it but I'm not sure. I like it quite a bit. As soon as I get more money, I plan to buy a custom template but the one I have is fine for now.

I still can not find an ideal CMS to use on the sites I develop. I always have some kind of problems when editing the content with the help of text editors. Plus, the html they generate is horrible...

Could someone recommend a good text editor?

Thank you!
