If any of you happen to be interested in images, animation and sound for use in computer or perhaps video art, I highly recommend you check out 'Processing (http://www.processing.org/index.html)', an open source programming language (available for Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows). A little small example can be found here:

I have some expereince with Processing and I must say that it has great potential over other languages. It's very easy and you can do things very quickly without having to write complex code.

I used it in conjunction with Flash and Director, for a webcam project, and it worked just fine.

I don't, the project is quite big and was for a school project. If there's interest I can upload the code.
